Who we are…
At the Government of Yukon, our vision is to create an engaged and diverse public service that embraces innovation to deliver positive outcomes for Yukoners – this vision is close to our hearts in the Public Service Commission. We are passionate about our people, and we strive to build a workplace that is inclusive, respectful and continuously improving. We do this through maintaining internal HR systems, policies and collective agreements and providing human resources advice and support to departments and employees.
Create meaningful change…
We are looking for a candidate who is proactive, curious, charismatic and has a solid foundation of Organizational Development skills and experience. You have excellent people skills and the ability to inspire positive change in others. You are a lifelong learner who can ask the right questions, embrace the complexity of organizations and blend theory with practical action in a seamless way. You are also well organized and are able to work independently across all levels of the organization.
As an internal consultant on the Organizational Development Branch team, you will support a healthy and effective public service by working with client groups across the organization. No two days are ever the same – every consultation uncovers new and complex patterns for you to help the clients shift. You will manage internal consultations from beginning to end, including finding clients, defining contracts, collecting and analyzing data, and planning and implementing group interventions. Your scope of work could include change management, leadership development, team dynamics, strategic planning, process improvement, service design, developmental evaluation and facilitating training. You will do this by working with leaders at all levels of the organization in the role of change agent and cultural driver. You will design and deliver compelling team facilitations and group workshops and you will also support corporate organizational development initiatives and projects as needed.
