Founded in 1999, Zaatar W Zeit is a Lebanese fast-casual restaurant chain that specializes in serving wholesome and freshly prepared authentic Lebanese street food with a twist. The chain is now expanding into the North American market with so far 2 locations in Vancouver, Canada. We are currently looking for a full-time Food Service Supervisor. The ideal candidate will excel as team player and will work well under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the daily food service in all areas of kitchen and dining room
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Handle shift schedules for food services workers and assign them tasks on daily basis
- Coordinate frequent workplace inspections
- Plan menus and determine related food and labour costs
- Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of worker
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
- Ensure strict compliance with brand’s standards in all aspects of service
- Participates in menu preparation, ensuring menus are updated and recipes are revised
- Ensuring all equipment is clean and maintained
- Communicate positively and enthusiastically to the restaurant patrons and address their issues promptly
Employment Requirements
- Completion of secondary school
- Flexible availability for weekends & holidays
- Food safe level 1
- 1-2 years of experience in restaurants
