Is this position fully remote?
YES. You may work from wherever is most convenient for you. For those who prefer working from an office, our HQ is conveniently located at the corner of University and Dundas in Toronto, steps from St. Patrick Station, surrounded by great restaurants, entertainment, and cultural venues. We stock our pantry with snacks and drinks, and operate a casual but focused work environment.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Processing invoices and T&E reports in Concur and entering in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
- Reviewing payment requests for completeness, adherence to corporate policies and for special instructions
- Maintaining vendor profiles
- Preparing weekly Accounts Payable detail report for review and approval for payment
- Maintaining vendor profile to ensure payment information is accurate, payments on account are up to date and internal and external vendor inquiries are resolved
- Running excel exports from Concur to multiple business accounting systems
- Comply with corporate and departmental policies and procedures for procurement, signature authority limits, and payment processing and distribution of payments
- Account Reconciliations and Month End Close Journal Entries (as needed)
- Preparing bi-monthly cash forecast and payroll funding template
- Preparing and maintaining Prepaid schedules
- Perform other duties as assigned
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably specializing in business, accounting, or similar field of study
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in Jr. Accounting or Accounts Payable
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with Concur
- Understanding of Canadian Tax Treatments
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- High degree of self-motivation
