Zone Placements Looking for Shipping Clerk at Concord, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Title: Shipping Clerk

Reports To: Logistics Supervisor

Position: Full-time, Mon – Fri (7am to 3pm)

Location: Concord, ON

Pay: $23 per hour

We are hiring a Shipping Clerk for one of our clients based in Concord. Our client is one of the biggest producers of high-quality parts used in various industrial sectors, including the automotive sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Shipping Documentation (70%):

• Create and ensure accuracy of all shipping paperwork and customs documentation.
• Contact freight forwarders and arrange shipment pickup times.
• Work with shipping department to ensure accuracy in items being shipped.
• Release paperwork and coordinate truck drivers when they arrive for pickup.
• If required by customers, track shipments to confirm that they have arrived at the desired location.
• Practice customer service when interacting with other companies and clients to ensure all parties receive a positive interaction with the company.

External Vendor Inventory (30%):

• Create all external vendor purchase orders and/or shipping documentation.
• Transfer inventory to vendor and receive from vendor.
• Monitor and report on inventory levels at external vendors and ensure accuracy of this data in SAP system.

Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year experience in a manufacturing automotive industry with automotive/manufacturing experience
• Experience using a forklift and professional forklift certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (primarily Excel and Outlook). Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
• Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse.
• Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be always worn when entering and working in the plant area.
• Plant areas can be noisy and can feel oil mist when in operation.
