Job Summary
The Zurich Resilience Solutions (ZRS) Canadian Manager of Field Operations will have a dual role, managing both people and our day to day operations.
This person directs and manages sectors within ZRS Risk Engineering with responsibility for the execution of strategy, policies & service standards and procedures for quality and efficiencies, while enhancing the preference for ZRS’s products, services and solutions.
Job Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelors Degree and 10 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area
Preferred:
• Advanced knowledge of Risk Engineering methodologies and insurance industry
• 8 or more years of progressively sophisticated experience in leadership, organizational development, decision making skills and human resources
• Advanced skills and experience in all aspects of consulting and partnering with business leaders
• Excellent organization skills, interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate to all levels of management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation
• Excellent problem solving skills
• People management experience
Job Accountabilities – Key Accountabilities
Management of Risk Engineering sector with a team comprised of risk specialists and/or regional leaders – aligning resources appropriately.
Provide consultation and support to the risk engineering staff as well as customers and business partners such as claims and underwriting.
Analyze the quality of services provided by risk engineering and the quantity of the risks underwritten and prepare reports accordingly.
Identify market trends that may impact business results developing recommended action plan.
Manage relationships with the business by conducting line of business, book of business, class and segment analysis to ensure profitability and growth.
With our model of delivering fee income based services to our customers, there is an increased focus on improving customer relations, profitability and productivity.
Monitor and evaluate activities to identify potential risks and issues of non-compliance.
Participate and/or lead risk assessment for their area of responsibility and escalates potential issues to higher management.
Develop and implement annual budget for area of responsibility, as well as all people related activities such as performance management, succession planning and pipeline recruitment.
