The Analyst, Compensation & Classification will provide support to Compensation Specialists and Human Resources Consultants in the areas of job evaluation and analysis of unionized & non-contract compensation and classification.
The Analyst will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the systems (i.e. electronic files) and supporting processes, tools and templates to effectively and efficiently manage the job description inventory and other compensation and classification files, documents and information.
The Analyst, Compensation & Classification supports the Compensation & Classification Team on projects related to organizational/program/department design and redesign and investigates and responds to classification issues such as job review requests and classification grievances as designated.
The Analyst provides support to the Team by researching and analyzing data for special projects, running/writing ad hoc reports, designing templates, tools, presentation materials and other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a two-year diploma in Human Resources or a relevant discipline and five (5) years’ recent related experience with a large, multi-union organization, preferably within a health care or public sector environment and including experience working with a wide range of computer applications.

Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated work planning and time management skills;
Ability to work effectively under pressure and with changing priorities and deadlines;
Ability to use computer applications, such as spreadsheet, word processing, e-mail and database software and Human Resource Information System;
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
