Qualifications:
- Must be willing to work a variety of shifts: Days, Evenings and Weekends and Holidays April – October
- Golf course experience and knowledge is not require but considered an asset. .
- Minimum one year serving experience is a great asset.
- Retail experience is considered an asset.
- Smart Choices required.
- Exceptional multitasking skills and the ability to work well under stress as a team is a must.
- Must be willing to work as a team and in multiple department areas.
- Exceptional customer service standards required.
- Must have reliable transportation and drivers license.
Server Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining exceptional client service
- Taking, confirming orders and relaying to the kitchen or bar staff
- Knowledge of the POS system, menu & inventory
- Serving food
- Serving alcohol
- Busing, cleaning, and resetting tables
- Cleaning workstations, restaurant and washrooms
- Setting up and executing events & tournaments
- Answering phone calls
- Booking tee-times
- Assisting Pro Shop staff with closing duties and returning/parking power carts
- Training in other departments – Helping cross-departments
- Placing to-go orders, running out on the course
- Prep or administrative work
- Stocking and taking inventory
- Preparing bills and processing payment
- Cleaning duties such as stocking, sanitizing, sweeping floors, washing dishes
- Requesting proof of age
Beverage Cart Responsibilities Include:
- Provide exceptional on course customer service
- Prepare an assortment of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, serving alcoholic drinks only to those 18 years old or older.
- Prepare and serve various snacks.
- Receive and record all monetary transactions.
- Maintain a clean and orderly cart at all times.
- Project yourself in a positive and professional manner with guests and co-workers at all times.
- Inspect cart to see that maintenance problems are corrected promptly, reporting these problems to the Manager/Maintenance.
- Keep work area properly stocked, must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds for 25 yards.
- Follow all LGCA rules and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
- Work as a Team Player with co-workers and in conjunction with other departments.
Pro Shop Responsibilities
- Treat guests in a courteous, respectful and friendly manner at all times
- Strive to maintain a positive and aesthetically pleasing environment
- Provide fast, efficient service, anticipating guests’ needs
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility, including the Pro Shop and counter
- Attend to customer needs as they pertain to retail and golf
- Answer phone inquiries in a professional and knowledgeable manner
- Act as a liaison with Restaurant, Maintenance Team and Starters/Marshals
- Facilitate club repairs and lesson bookings
- Look after Driving Range
- Be familiar and efficient with the cash procedures for opening and closing duties
- Collect and properly organize data from league play
- Manage Power Cart usage
- Washing, parking and staging of Power Carts
- COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols
- Assist management with assigned tasks
