The Alzheimer Society of Brant, Haldimand Norfolk, and Hamilton Halton (ASBHNHH) is looking for a passionate and qualified counsellor to provide counselling and support services to persons living with dementia and their caregivers, in accordance with the Alzheimer Society’s Strategic Plan. These services are delivered in-office, by home visits, and by phone, using both individual and group approaches. This counsellor position is 35 hours per week at our Hamilton office and may include occasional travel throughout the Greater Hamilton Region. Office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, but occasional evening work may be required. This is a 14 month fixed term contract.

The salary range for this job is $40,040 to $61,207 based on 1820 hours annually (35 hours per week).
This position is located at our Hamilton Office, with occasional travel. Office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, but occasional evening work may be required.
Specialized Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Educational Requirements:
University or university degree in social work (MSW, BSW, SSW) or comparable pedagogical preparation for the position.
