North East EMS is looking for to hire a Primary Care or Advanced Care paramedic in a permanent full, part time or casual position. North East EMS is a great place to gain experience as a new PCP, or to put your experience to great use as an experienced provider. As you treat a variety of patients, sometimes with longer transport times, so you can see first hand the positive effects of your treatment.
A part time employee with North-East EMS will often receive full time hours. Staff will be paired with a co-worker ranging from PCP to ACP at one of our three bases either in Nipawin, Carrot River or Cumberland House. Each base has accommodations that are available to staff working free of charge.
North East EMS is willing to hire a PCP that is currently still working with a restricted paramedic license, as long as they are actively perusing becoming unrestricted as soon as possible.
Qualifications:
- Current unrestricted or restricted PCP or ACP SCoP licence
- Current ITLS, CPR-BLS certificates
- Class 4 drivers’ licence with recent drivers abstract
- Recent Criminal Record check
- Resume with 3 references
About North-East EMS and Nipawin
North East EMS has the largest coverage area in Saskatchewan, covering more than 25,000 square kms. We respond to a variety of emergent and non-emergent calls totalling to about 2800 calls annually. Our service currently has bases in three locations. The main base is in Nipawin with 4 ambulances along with a supervisor vehicle, we also have a base in Carrot River (40 km East of Nipawin) has a full crew stationed there 24/7. Our third base is in Cumberland House and is staffed with an ACP and PCP.
Nipawin is located about 250 kms northeast of Saskatoon. It rests on the shores of Tobin and Codette Lakes and is a popular destination for recreation. Tobin Lake is known for its trophy fishing and many fishing derbies. Hunting, snowmobiling and golf are common recreational past times.

Salary: $29.38-$43.75 per hour
