Here is what we are looking for…
The key role of the Logistics Supervisor is to provide direction, leadership and coordination to the warehouse and logistics operation and the execution of receiving inbound loads to the warehouse and the shipping of beer produced at our Saskatoon Brewery.
Primary duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide front line leadership in our warehouse.
- Review, create, maintain and/or enforce policies and procedures for logistics and warehouse procedures.
- Use computer systems to manage stock levels, delivery times, transport cost, and delivery route optimization.
- Work closely with all regional managers to ensure execution of inventory to match sales programs by using sales orders and forecasts in multiple warehouse locations.
- Inventory control, raw materials purchasing/planning/control.
- Customer and Supplier relations with transport carriers.
- Review and manage overall performance of carriers including; non-compliance reports, charge back for late arrivals etc.
- Improve distribution efficiency by identifying logistical challenges and making advancements.
- Achieving budget efficiencies, safety and quality targets.
- Work closely with all production departments.
- Provide a safe, respectful and clean work environment, including coaching employees as well as enforcing safe work practices.
- Other duties as assigned

- Ensure all raw materials are ordered, consumed and reconciled.
- Ensure all finished product is accounted for and distributed within guidelines.
- Achieve safety and quality targets.

- Maintain active an open communications with all employees, departments, suppliers and customers.

Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum grade 12 high school diploma, post-secondary education preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and proficient with Excel
- 3-5 years’ experience or supervisory experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
- Working knowledge of current employment legislation including Labor Standards, Human Rights, Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act.
- Understanding supply chain dynamics with best practices examples to draw on.
- Analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Time management and task prioritization skills.

The Logistics Supervisor is a key member of the Operations Management Team and reports to the Director of Logistics and Procurement.
The Logistics Supervisor must work effectively with all departments of the company to ensure short and long term goals, and must cultivate relationships and work effectively with the Union and other regulatory agencies.
This is a full-time permanent position located in Saskatoon.
