We are currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team.
JOB SUMMARY
The Junior Accountant is a key member of the leadership team and performs a variety of finance and accounting duties such as analyzing capital investments, job costing, pricing decision and verifying all financial information. The Junior Accountant prepares financial statements, reconciles general ledger accounts, manages budgets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Provides guidance and suggestions to the Accounting Controller on all financial matters related to the company.
- Calculate variances and possible issues affecting the future of the organization.
- Prepares yearly budgets and monthly cashflow reports
- Provides suggestions to management in order to improve internal processes and accounting controls
- Development of accounting strategies and risk analysis on efficiencies of the operation
- Maintain accurate and organized filing system for accounting department
- Job costing, including analyzing and closing jobs on a monthly basis

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- A post secondary education with a degree/diploma specializing in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- Computer literate, including advanced skills Microsoft Office 365, Simply Accounting
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $35,600.00-$49,950.00 per year
