This Patient Care Manager (PCM) position reports directly into the Executive Director, Cardiac Sciences, Edmonton Zone, and has the pleasure of being accountable for the following adult areas: Inpatient Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery, Cardiac Navigation and Cardiac Transition.
In this position, you will be able to showcase a series of key leadership skills as you ensure high quality, accessible, sustainable, patient and family focused care for the above listed program areas. This position is a key member of the leadership team at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute (Maz) and the Cardiac Sciences zone program. Together this team works cohesively with one another to tackle complex problems. To support this, Cardiac Sciences is focused on making positive impacts to the portfolio by ensuring transformational decisions take place in partnership with multiple dyad partners. The dyad relationships are there to improve both clinical and organizational excellence and the successful candidate will work in multiple dyad relationships to advance the portfolio. As the successful candidate you will be joining an amazing leadership team that is not only supportive of one another, but also one that fosters positive work relationships. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement projects, fiscal and human resource management, and participating as a leader on the overall Cardiac Sciences Leadership team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership success and will have strong communication, change management, team building and mentoring skills.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of recent operational leadership experience in an acute care setting required. Registration with a health profession is required. Undergraduate degree in a clinical health care field is required.
