BCIT’s Computer Systems Technology department is seeking highly talented, motivated and qualified professionals ready for the next level and next challenge in their careers to be Instructors both at our Burnaby campus and our Downtown campus. Candidates must have strong communication skills and will be required to assume responsibilities for curriculum development and academic leadership.
We offer full-time and part-time positions.
Duties & Responsibilities
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Applicants with skills and industry expertise in one or more of the following areas will be given preference:
- Games Development, specifically with iOS
- Programming (C/Python/Java/Mobile)
- System Analysis and Design
- Computer Networks, Architecture, and Operating Systems
- Database
- Web Development
- Project Management
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum three years of current and relevant industry experience.
- Minimum related Master’s degree, PhD an asset
- Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Teaching topics in software development, IT and related technologies in a post-secondary, education environment would be an asset.
- A passion for teaching computing and information technology.
- Online teaching experience considered an asset.

Salary Range
Salary Range: $56,845 – $99,571 per annum
Additional Salary Information
Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
