U1 Logistics Looking for Air freight logistics coordinator Air / Ocean at Mississauga, ON Full Time

Our company is in Mississauga and we’re looking to add an Air / Ocean logistics freight forwarder to our team.

We require someone with your experience to handle the day to day import/ export functions in our office setting, working directly with the Operation manager and Operations staff. You will be responsible for import and export shipments

Interested candidates must have similar experience. This is a permanent – full time position.

Responsibilities

• Proform freight forwarding tasks on a daily basis
• Assist the import/export operation (air, ocean, freight, and sales), and ensure accurate processing of paperwork to minimize errors.
• Provide excellence in customer service and the first place of contact for client inquiries, concerns and complaints.
• complete export declaration and import manifests for all type of air and ocean shipments
• Complete accurate monthly reports as requested by management and customers.
• Provide shipment information for import/export customers and support the sales department in negotiating rates and quotes for services.
• Maintain accurate filing system(s), update/input details of shipments in the system and ensure accuracy for billing.
• Coordinate shipments and send pre-alert notices to customers and related departments as required.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-task environment with rigid deadlines
• Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize as needed
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)

Professional & Educational Background

• Previous experience within the Freight industry in air, ocean, or trucking is considered an asset
• Knowledgeable in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods requirements for air, ocean, or ground
