The Durham District School Board (DDSB) is responsible for public education in the rural settings of Uxbridge, Brock and Scugog Townships and the urban settings of Ajax, Whitby, Pickering and Oshawa. The DDSB accommodates a school population of nearly 74,000 day students, through 134 elementary and secondary schools and learning centres, and thousands more who take advantage of a wide variety of continuing education and adult credit courses.

FINANCE ANALYST (CONTRACT – JAN. 9/23 TO JAN. 8/24)
Job Purpose
Ensures accountability of School Generated Funds (SGF) financial reporting and back up for various Public-Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) Capital Asset tracking and reporting requirements. This includes tracking and assigning asset categories to all minor Tangible Capital Asset purchases, preparing amortization and remaining service life schedules for the Board’s Tangible Capital Assets, and calculating & allocating amortization expenses for the Board’s financial statements.

Completion of a post-secondary university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
Experience
PLEASE NOTE: This is a 35 hour per week, contract position from January 9, 2023 until January 8, 2024.
Upon Hire:
You must provide the Human Resources department with a current obtained or applied for (within six months of your start date) Criminal Background Check, including vulnerable sector screening.
