SCOPE:
The Indigenous Youth Leadership Coordinator position is a key component in the delivery of the ONWA Indigenous Youth Life Promotion Program and ensures a range of holistic services for youth across the province. This provincially focused program will provide culturally based services that meet the inclusive needs of Indigenous youth.
The Indigenous Youth Leadership Coordinator will provide/coordinate services that focus on the mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being through a cultural, trauma informed gender-based approach. Programming will focus on land-based programming and ceremony through traditional teachings and mentorship programs provided to Indigenous youth. The Indigenous Youth Leadership Program works to meet the need of Indigenous community members by providing training opportunities, leadership events and work experience to participating youth.

ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Indigenous Youth Leadership Coordinator will be directly accountable to the Community Development Manager for the proper completion of the functions outlined in the job description.
