The Opportunity:

Reports to the Manager of Cloud Billing and Reporting. This position performs complex development and analysis work which requires training, knowledge and broad understanding of XML, Perl, Python and Shell scripting in a Linux environment. Mainly focused on Billing usage data consumption, candidates would bring creative and independent thinking along with the conceptual ability to relate their work to broader Corporate Goals.

You Are Great At:

• Develop and modify Billing software, test, and build documentation in both the maintenance of old and the development of new software/environments.
• Implement changes through standard Change Management process.
• Demonstrate the ability to discern key aspects for identifying problems and address them. (Critical analysis and Problem solving.)
• Familiar with Financial Book Closing process, general accounting practices or transactional Billing methodologies.
• Responsible for significant portions of critical work and complex projects such as system migrations, integrations, and dataflows onto our environment.
• Leading migrations of internal and external systems.
• Responsible for On-Call and Tier2 support of Billing applications and related systems with remote staff. (Includes off-hour work when needed.)
• Apply skill and innovation while acting as a lead technical resource for our Team and User community.
• Help with efforts to improve effectiveness/efficiency of internal systems.
• Assist Business Partners work through their business needs.
• Demonstrate the ability to drive a culture of learning amongst your peers and other stakeholder groups on Billing and overall System Analytics.
• Support SOX Audit compliancy.

What It Takes:

Education:

• University/College degree within a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 8-10 years minimum previous experience working within a technical Development environment analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and maintaining computer-based systems.

Skills and Experience:

• Foundation working in Windows environments. Knowledge working on Linux.
• Experienced with the complete software development life cycle.
• Proficient working with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server as well as their associated scripting technologies such as SQL, Stored Procedures, PL/SQL, Functions, and SSIS.
• Proficient working with Angular Java Script, .Net, C#, Python, PowerShell Scripting.
• Knowledge working with complex XML data navigating using XPATH or similar methods.
• Experience working with very high volume of Transaction usage data.
• Strong reporting skills from Data sources in (Oracle or SQL Server as well as flat file data inputs).
• Billing Interface with Vertex tax modules is a plus.
