The Transformation Project Management Office (PMO) at Oak Valley Health assists in the development of the hospital’s strategy as well as its execution. We manage complex corporate-wide projects that support this strategy while also promoting project management and process improvement standards across the hospital. What we need:
Drawing on project management and change management expertise, the Project Manager within the Transformation PMO will provide leadership and direction in the planning, deployment and evaluation of an exciting new digital health project within the Surgical Services program. In particular, this project will implement new software and clinical workflows that streamline wait list management, scheduling, and collaboration to improve efficiencies and the staff and patient experience.
Reporting to the Manager of the Transformation PMO, the successful candidate will use corporate project management standards to ensure project objectives are met while serving as a liaison between various hospital stakeholders and departments. The successful candidate must have experience in all aspects of project management and change management with a proven track record of meeting project goals on time, within scope and within budget. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with the ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
Responsibilities include:
Work with project sponsors and process owners to complete the various elements of a project management plan, including; defining project scope, assumptions, risks, goals and deliverables, and financial resources
Establish the project teams and infrastructure to support project implementation and sustainability
Communicate with, and ensure active engagement of, project sponsors, process owners and team members throughout all project phases
Chair and facilitate project working groups
Ensure that project outcomes align and move strategic goals and business goals towards targets
Measure and report project progress
In collaboration with project sponsors and process owners, manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and issues, and develop contingency plans
Establish and sustain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and influence process improvement and project management
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (Master’s degree preferred)
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
5-7 years experience in practical application of project management theory, including change management, resource planning and management, risk management, evaluation, etc.
Strong working knowledge of relevant project management tools
Knowledge of hospital operations, with surgical services experience preferred
Experience in digital health and software implementation preferred
Effective planning, organizing and evaluating skills
Relationship building skills and proven ability to manage projects involving stakeholders from diverse areas, levels and organizations
Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills to ensure positive outcomes for quality patient care when dealing with internal hospital stakeholders and external partners
Organizational agility and versatility to move comfortably across organizational levels, and influence leaders
Strong facilitation skills and ability to manage group process
Well-developed presentation and writing skills and ability to use tact, diplomacy and persuasion to achieve project objectives
Computer literacy utilizing Microsoft Office software applications and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, business intelligence tools, process mapping, and presentation software
Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
Work Schedule:
Primarily days – Monday to Friday with flexibility to meet needs of the department. Schedules may change based on operational needs. Hybrid model of in the office and remote work.
Compensation:
BAND G: $43.27- $53.14 per hour
