We are currently looking to hire an enthusiastic and driven HR Intern to join our team to perform various administrative tasks and support the human resources department daily activities. If you are interested in kickstarting your career in HR and getting a closer look of how our company approaches payroll, and employee development, we would like to meet you. As an HR Intern you have primary responsibilities in a variety of human resources activities such as, updating our employee records with new hires information, attendance management, assist in payroll, as well as assisting in organizing and coordinating our HR policies and procedures. Ultimately you will play an important role in our HRIS Project when this project commences.

What will you do: Responsibilities and Contributions

New hires

• Update our internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms
• Creating time star badges and profiles for new hires
• Entering new hires information into Navision
• Adding new hires to Time star reports

Navision

• Entering daily labor report into Navision

Absence Management

• Checking voicemails for Absent employees
• Tracking attendance points and issuing/removing letters as required
• Assist in tracking and Filing employees’ proof of absence
• Tracking attendance letters and updating employee’s absence records

Time Star

• Entering coaching hours/rates in time journal

Administrative task

• Assisting generalists/schedulers with various administrative tasks as needed
• Ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions
• Responsible for sending out filing, checking employee files, office organization/cleaning, etc.

Position Requirements:

• Experience as a staff assistant or similar junior HR role is a plus
• Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
• Outstanding Knowledge on Microsoft Office particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Basic knowledge of labor legislation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience working in an office environment.
• The ability to multi-task and work as part of a team.
• Demonstrate excellent administrative skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent Oral and written communication skills
• Ability to Prioritize and meet deadlines

Shift Summary:

• Required to be available for a minimum of 3 shifts per week from Monday to Saturday, with Saturdays being a regularly required shift
• Desire more hours? Increase your availability
• B shift runs for 8 hours with a 30-minute break added

Schedule:

• Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Flexible Schedule Monday – Friday
