Job Description: INDIGENOUS STUDENT ADVISOR
INDIGENOUS RELATIONS & SUPPORTS

The successful candidate will have a high awareness of Indigenous learners’ needs and their unique barriers and challenges within a post-secondary environment who is skilled and experienced in creating an inclusive environment where Indigenous learners feel safe and supported.
Reporting to the Manager of Indigenous Student Services, the primary responsibility of the Indigenous Student Advisor is to advise Indigenous students on matters related to their academic studies at NorQuest College, and to support both access and affordability of Indigenous prospective learners. This will include providing advice for Indigenous cultural, financial, academic, career, and holistic supports. This role will also include working with students to help them with transition supports into a post-secondary environment.

Degree in related field, Education, Native Studies, or other Social Science field.

SALARY: * $52,573 – $68,302 reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a full-time permanent position and includes immediate access to vacation and illness days, and our great pension and benefit programs.
