Employee Services Assistant-Recruitment
Situated on the shared traditional territories of the x?m?θk??y??m (Musqueam), S?wx_wú7mesh (Squamish), and s?lilw?ta? In this position you will report to the Manager of Recruitment & Retention. You will build your skills and expand your HR repertoire as a key member of the Recruitment & Retention team. You will assist with ongoing recruitment tasks such as: screening, shortlisting, interviewing, completing reference checks, onboarding, organizing recruitment campaigns/programs etc. Your attention to detail and ability to take initiative will assist in improving current processes as well as administer routine Employee Services transactions.
You have strong problem solving and active listening skills and you are able to consult in an open, respectful and transparent manner. Your organizational ability allows you to effectively work in a team setting and effectively manage your time, prioritize demands and juggle administrative tasks. You have good technical abilities and strong written and oral communication skills which will ensure that we continue to provide excellent service when managing inquiries and/or dealing with challenging conversations.
The successful candidate will have at least one year of experience working in a Human Resources environment and will preferably hold an HR Degree or similar coursework. Knowledge of PeopleSoft is an asset, and you must be familiar with SFE, or willing to learn the program.
