We are remote only, which means we don’t have a physical office to go to! Our team is located across Ontario so we like to get together when we can but understand a remote work option is ideal for most.
What you’ll do in this role:
Straight away we should highlight that if you’re looking for a career in HR or anything that smells like HR, we’re not the team, and this isn’t the role for you. The way we view talent acquisition, especially in the context of building multiple high-growth startups at a time, is a craft that will teach you more about sales and marketing than anything else, and to be successful, you need to have a sales and marketing mindset to begin with, not an HR mindset.
We often partner with Seed and Series-A funded startups that need to scale fast, but don’t yet have their recruiting infrastructure in place. Our new teammate will work as part of a Fractional Talent Acquisition team and help build out our clients hiring infrastructure and facilitate their hires quickly. Our new teammate will end up being on the phone or in Zoom rooms most of the day either interviewing and evaluating candidates or engaging with Hiring Managers and coaching them through the hiring process. In addition, you are the voice and face of Pivot

Above all else, every time we add someone to our team, we look for three core things -> the confidence to lead, the curiosity to learn every day, and the commitment to do great things.
But getting to the job-specific skills and experience for this role, we’re looking for someone that:
Has at least one year of experience in a sales (Serving experience absolutely counts as sales experience to us) role and is comfortable speaking with strangers all day.
