Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for a permanent, full time and a temporary, full-time (up to 18-months) position of Talent Acquisition Specialist, in Talent & Total Rewards, a division of Human Resources and Corporate Communications. Under the direction of the Manager, Talent Acquisition the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for building talent pipelines and identifying potential candidates for current and future hiring needs. In collaboration with the HR Business Partners, the Talent Acquisition Specialist leverages creative sourcing strategies including internet mining, industry events and associations, and social media to target and connect with both active and passive candidates, guiding candidates through our hiring process and ensuring a positive candidate experience through to hire.

PLEASE NOTE: Testing may be conducted as a component of the selection process to assess technical and job specific knowledge. Candidates, who are selected for testing, may be tested in a group setting, scheduled at the employer’s discretion. Interviews, testing, and in-person recruitment activities are being conducted in adherence with current COVID-19 Public Health protocols.

WORK STATUS: Permanent, full-time and 18-month term, full time
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm; 35 hours per week. Opportunity for a hybrid work option may be available.
SALARY: Non-Union Level NU 7 $75,750 – $104,130. Salary to be commensurate with experience.
WORK LOCATION: 8th Floor – Purdy’s Wharf Tower 2, 1969 Upper Water Street, Halifax.
