Nissan is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill an opening for a Analyst 2, Finance role based out of our Mississauga, ON.
Responsible for supporting the development, analysis and integrity of Nissan Canada’s annual incentives budget, quarterly forecasts and variance analysis, focusing on providing analytical and technical support for incentive calculations and ad-hoc decision making.
POSITION FUNCTIONS
Responsible for supporting aspects of Nissan Canada’s incentive budgeting and forecasting process including but not limited to:
With direction from Manager, creates new modules within Nissan Canada’s incentive Budget Model in order to capture changing business requirements.
Supporting all phases of budget preparation (e.g. analysis of trends, reviewing assumptions, update model) including interacting with various divisions to gain an understanding of current market trends affecting Nissan Canada sales incentives. Support preparation of monthly forecasts.
Updating Nissan Canada Incentive Budget Model on a monthly basis including preparing monthly internal and external reports and analysis, and ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
Support and assist Manager(s) in decision making by assisting with completing what-if analysis, and reviewing/analyzing on new sales incentives programs and evaluating impact on costs and volume targets.
Participate and support month-end Journal Entries & Accruals. Includes communicating and gathering information from various departments including Sales Planning, Nissan Canada Finance, and reviewing variances to plan and forecast.
Prepare, support, and analyze monthly operating expense for month-end financial review. Ensure appropriate support exists for all spending requests through review.
Reviews and analyzes fleet and incentives.
Minimum Requirements:
A relevant business, finance, accounting or economics degree, involvement in a professional accounting designation.
3 to 5 years demonstrated experience in finance, budgeting, or business planning.
Expert proficiency required in report writing, analysis, and Microsoft Office software applications. Broad knowledge of business models, Excel (or other spreadsheet software application), Access (or other Database applications), accounting and finance issues and modeling is required.
Incumbent must be able to effectively communicate financial information to “non-financial” people and interact extensively with non-finance staff and must be an effective and diplomatic communicator of financial and business issues.
