Job Details:
- Location: 400 McNeilly Road, Stoney Creek, ON.
- Hourly Wage: $20-24 depending on experience.
- Benefits: Company-paid group medical, dental and insurance.
Job Description:
- The Logistics Planner ensures seamless transportation scheduling of outgoing and incoming shipments.
- This position understands the impact of these job tasks to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of outgoing items.
- Timely communication with internal customers / stakeholders, and Norstar shipping and receiving department are essential functions for this position.
Job Duties:
- Using ERP electronic Delivery Scheduler, update deliveries and pickup.
- Receive pickup and delivery requests via email, ensure request are complete when compared template, all required information is received.
- Confirm with Logistics & Shipping Manager availability, communicate to originator of email request can be met, or alternate.
- Review reports to include other possible product that can be included in deliveries and pickup to optimize fleet.

- Follow current standards and procedures.
- Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Other tasks as time and skill set allows.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in the windows and doors industry preferred.
- Work experience in shipping and receiving role is an asset.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Excel and e-mail.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
