This is a 3-6 month engagement. There are several projects with deadlines, this will require the chosen candidates to integrate into the company and understand the business quickly.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate the total Profit & Loss, analyze any significant discrepancies, and create a summary of the results for top management.
• Analysis and forecasting of the balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Actively seeks areas of efficiency and potential for process improvements in the yearly, monthly, and quarterly forecasting processes.
• Create Excel and/or other tool-based data models to satisfy business requirements.
• Generate financial reports and presentations that emphasize the most pertinent and significant findings for senior management and the senior executive team.
• Use reasoning and originality while addressing problems.
• Upkeep of current financial models or development of new models to generate quantitative insights to assist scenario planning, long-term forecasting, and/or business choices.

Qualifications

• The ideal applicant will be a strategic thinker who is close to completing the CPA qualification.

• Candidates must have finance and business planning expertise spanning at least 4 years in a relevant connected field.
• Candidates must have advanced level Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities, as well as the capacity to adapt information to varied stakeholder audiences.
• Exemplifies a positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude.
• Capable of working under pressure and under time limits, as well as handling many jobs at once.

Summary
Compensation: 40-50/hour depending on experience
Duration: 3-6 months
Location: North York – Work from home 2x a week
