GEMTEC is a growing firm with offices throughout Atlantic Canada and in Ontario, and we are looking for a motivated and skilled Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Team. We currently have an opening for a fulltime Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) in our Fredericton office.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in HR strategy, employee relations, and talent management. As a business partner, you will provide support to various departments and play a key role in driving the overall HR agenda for the company.
Educational & Experience Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a HR related field.
- 5-10 years’ experience as an HR Generalist or HRBP, preferably in a consulting firm.
- CPHR Certification is considered an asset.
- Experience creating and implementing job classification and compensation structures.
- Strong team player, known for building partnerships to accomplish goals.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of business concepts, employee relations and HR knowledge.
- Knowledge of employment laws, regulations and experience in HR compliance.
- Ability to think strategically and provide HR solutions that align with business goals.
Main Duties:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:
- Managing all aspects of Employee Life Cycle including: On-Boarding, Employee relations, Succession Planning, Training and Development, Performance Management, Terminations.
- Leading the implementation of Human Resources projects and initiatives to ensure alignment throughout our business:

- Job Classification Structure
- Compensation Benchmarking Structure
- Partnering with business leaders to understand their goals and develop HR strategies that support their business objectives.
- Understanding and interpreting HR related laws and precedent; advises the business on their application to reduce risk.
- Conducting Annual Talent Pulse Survey and work with Leadership to develop action plans.
- Managing Performance Review and Goal Setting programs.
- Workforce Planning in partnership with Talent Acquisition Partner.
- Backup for P&C Coordinator and Talent Acquisition Partner.
- HRIS System Administrator.
- Establishing DEIB Training and Initiatives.
- Coordinating Global Mobility (LMIA, etc.) tasks.
Position:
- Full time salaried position.
