WHO IS PLAN A?
Plan A Powered by Staff Stat is a staffing solutions company. We partner with long term care facilities in our area, to ensure that they have safe staffing levels to look after their residents. We provide staffing support with health care professionals for all shift types!
WHAT DO WE PAY OUR STAFF?
Our Personal Support Workers are paid a fantastic wage of $22 per hour, with extra incentives available as well! Our staff are paid bi-weekly via direct deposit, and all hours are tracked through our customized shift filling app, Staff Stat. We also have overtime hours available, as well as travelling incentives of mileage, meal allowances and accommodations – depending on the distance that you are willing to travel
WHAT DOES WORKING FOR PLAN A LOOK LIKE?
During the interview process, we will look at what you are available for. How many shifts per week, what type of shift (days, evenings, nights, all) and how far you are willing to travel. We will then match your availability to the needs of our facilities, and set you up at the facility (or facilities) that you are able to support.
HOW WILL I BE SCHEDULED?
Our facilities staff in one of two ways, so depending on the location best suited to you:
You will be given access to our app where the facility will post all of the available shifts. You will select the shifts that suit you best, and book yourself in to those shifts via the app. This is great for those looking for flexibility to fit around child care, other employers etc!
You may also look at being scheduled for shifts, where facilities will give you a booking for two, three or four weeks, so you have the stability of knowing what shifts you have booked ahead of time. This is great for those who are available for regular and consistent shifts!
IS THEIR OVERTIME HOURS AVAILABLE?
Yes! We do offer overtime after 44 hours of regular paid hours. We also do have part time and full time hours available!
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
ESSENTIAL –
Must have a PSW certificate, or have completed a first year of nursing course and be enrolled in second year or above
3-5 references with 2-3 being from a supervisor
CPR Certification
Proof of TB 1 step and TB 2 step, or chest x ray from within past 5 years
Vulnerable Sector Check from within past 6 months
