Your Role
Join our team of experts who lead major capital building and infrastructure projects. Working with communities across Ontario, our team is part of bringing meaningful change. Be a trusted advisor to your clients and build strong, lasting relationships with senior leaders. You will bring in-depth knowledge and have led and managed complex projects from start to finish, in alignment with your clients objectives.
Develop strong client relationships with the client and act as the single point of contact for various ministries to support them in achieving their goals
Lead client and project meetings. Manage multiple stakeholders and communication streams.
Oversee the control of project related documents and deliver all work in accordance with our Quality Management System and procedures
Assisting in the prioritization and assignment of projects within a larger program or portfolio of projects
Leads review and classification of projects within a capital program, including looking holistically to ensure value for money, efficiency, and no redundancy
Consults during the development project parameters to ensure all requirements have been captured
Formulating milestone schedules and developing budgets and detailed cashflows for projects within the portfolio
Preparing profiles of existing building or portfolio condition, performance and utilization
Assessing the organization’s capability to undertake and successfully deliver a project in the context of the overall program or portfolio priorities through strategic planning
Providing advice and leadership in the development and assessment of potential options on project development, recommending a preferred option and developing an implementation strategy through the preparation of a business case or feasibility study
Meeting, negotiating and gaining support from internal and external organizational stakeholders (for example senior government executives, private-sector interests, municipal interests, community groups, etc.)
Developing project alternatives and identifying their administrative, organizational, economic, or technical feasibility
A minimum of 10 years of construction project management experience, representing owners in the delivery of building developments
Experience in portfolio planning, program management, project delivery and lifecycle planning utilizing asset management information systems
A university degree or diploma in business, finance, real estate or related filed, or equivalent industry designation
Project Management Professional designation (PMP) or able to obtain within first year of employment
Experience working with public sector clients
Deep knowledge of various design and construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislation
Advanced understanding of Project Management methodologies and experience working in a PMO environment
Effective client management and people management skills matched with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client and technical issues
Detail oriented leader with the ability to work in a process driven environment
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
