JOB SUMMARY
As the Healthcare Account Manager, you will be working with our pharmaceutical clients on mid-level projects, communicating with them daily, while leading the management of agency resources, and ensuring our work is on time, on budget, and delivered to the Elite standard. In this position, you will become the main point person for your clients and assist the account team in day to day client management.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate daily with the clients, gathering assets, and updating them on the status of their projects
- Collaborates with copywriter and senior account team to develop understanding of pharmaceutical industry’s regulatory environment, including but not limited to PAAB & AdStandards, as well as internal Medical, Legal, and Regulatory approvals (VEEVA)
- Lead submissions to client’s internal review process (VEEVA) and external Regulatory review (PAAB or AdStandards)
- Communicate with the internal team to make sure that the project is moving through the workflow process
- Act as the final gatekeeper on pieces, doing a thorough quality check before they are sent out to the client
- Lead small to mid-level digital projects such as emails, digital ads, social media campaigns, simple websites
- Assist senior account team on mid-level to large scale digital projects, such as email campaigns, websites, and digital ads, as well as print materials
- Assist in the mentoring of Healthcare Account Executives
- Assist senior account team to develop budgets, quotes and champion project cost estimations by working with internal teams, gaining client approval, and ensuring Elite stays profitable
- Manage budget tracking, invoicing and reporting
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Communications, Business or Science
EXPERIENCE, TECHNICAL SKILLS and KEY COMPETENCIES
- 2-4 years of experience in a healthcare marketing agency
- Experience with MLR, PAAB & AdStandards submissions
- A genuine passion for the pharmaceutical industry in Canada
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and prior experience working in a client facing role
- Ability to write internal briefings for internal cross-functional teams
- Exemplary organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Assets:
- Knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite, etc.
- Familiarity with GotoMeeting, Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, WebEx, and/or other conference meeting tools
- Knowledge of project management tools such as but not limited to ClickUp, Harvest, Slack
