Position: Cost Analyst
Location: Ottawa (east of Orleans)
Salary: $65,000 to $85,000 plus group benefits, performance bonus, RRSP, etc.
An excellent opportunity for a Cost Analyst with experience in manufacturing looking for that next step in their career.
Reporting to the Controller, the Cost Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing the cost of goods sold, variances and performing end of period analyses contributing to the sound fiscal management of the organization and its divisions.

Reporting to the Controller, the Cost Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing the cost of goods sold, variances and performing end of period analyses contributing to the sound fiscal management of the organization and its divisions.
Responsibilities:
– Adhere to standard costs, perform gap analysis, track actual costs against standard costs, and analyze variances
– Support plant operations by performing financial analysis; maintain cost standards in the ERP system
– Prepare monthly sales, cost, and profitability reports
– Play a key role in plant inventory activities
– Reinforce internal control measures and audit activities
– Play a proactive role improvement project, and maintain appropriate communication with all divisions relating to costing and inventory matter
Qualifications:
– Bachelor/ Diploma in accounting, finance, or experience in a related position
– Experience in manufacturing specific to costing and inventory is necessary
– Experience with an ERP system is strong asset
– Excellent knowledge of MS Office, advance Excel
– Strong aptitude for costing, financial using performance indicators
– Strong attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making skills
– Strong people skills, demonstrating flexibility, results oriented
– Open-minded and able to adapt to changes
– Bilingual, French and English
