Duties And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
The Accounting Analyst is located in Scarborough, Ontario and typically reports directly to the Regional Controller. The Accounting Analyst primary role is to perform all general ledger functions, month end reporting and assisting the Regional Controller when and where necessary.
- General Ledger maintenance and reconciliation of accounts
- Generate balance sheet, income statement and other reports from JDE
- Maintenance of lead sheet and other schedules
- Reconcile intercompany balances and set up payment transfers
- Manage petty cash and perform bank reconciliations
- Fixed asset review and maintenance
- Assist with audit function
- Perform journal entry review and postings
- Ensure appropriate payable invoice allocations including expense reports
- Review and perform weekly online payment
- Support financial reporting process
- Taxes and HST reporting
- Perform vendor rebate/discount analysis and allocation
- Review visa transactions and set up payment
- Provide support to our internal garage reporting
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and any other requests

Education Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or related study
- Working towards an Accounting designation is an asset
Work Experience Requirements
- 2-5 years’ experience in accounting
- Construction Industry accounting experience is preferred
Skills, Abilities, And Other Requirements
Intermediate to advanced user of:
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- JD Edwards or an Oracle-based ERP system
