Spark Power, a trusted partner in power in North America, is looking for an Electrical Estimator to join our team. The Electrical Estimator will work closely with the project management and sales team to ensure projects are competitively priced while meeting our high-quality standards.
Here’s what you will you do as an Electrical Estimator:
Conduct thorough reviews of specifications and drawings
Develop material labor take-offs
Coordinate price packages with suppliers, subcontractors, owners, designers and architects
Review estimates with the Project Managers
Prepare proposals by organizing all material, equipment, labor, and subcontract costs needed to complete the project
Coordinate with Purchasing and other departments to assist with building quotes
Track all bids, proposals and regularly communicate with Project Managers and other colleagues as needed
May assist with business development or new customer generation
Attend kick off meetings
Maintain and analyze reports

Do you have the Spark? Here’s what we’re looking for:
Journeyman Electrician license is preferred but not required.
Experience working on commercial, industrial and / or institutional projects
Ability to build scope of work and clearly communicate with customers
Ability to put together a professional presentation
Experience creating reports on costing data
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Strong computer skills including MS Office. Accubid would be preferred but other estimating software skills will also be considered.
Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team
High attention to detail and ability to meet defined deadlines
Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements
Deep knowledge of electrical systems and up to date code requirements
Able to communicate in a professional and concise manner in writing and verbally
