We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our client’s finance team. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain practical experience in the field of accounting. The successful candidate will be involved in accounts payable, billing, and providing administrative support to the finance department. While previous experience in accounting through co-op, internship, or other roles is considered an asset, we strongly encourage new graduates to apply.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Assist in processing vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
• Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring completeness and accuracy of billing details.
• Accurately input financial data into accounting software and maintain updated records.
• Interact professionally with vendors and clients to resolve invoice and billing inquiries.
• Assist in tracking and reconciling expenses, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance team, including filing, organizing documents, and data management.
• Assist in generating basic financial reports and statements under the guidance of senior team members.
• Learn and effectively use accounting software and tools to perform tasks efficiently.
• Maintain organized and well-structured electronic and physical filing systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth information flow and address inquiries.
• Actively engage in training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of accounting practices.

Requirements

Your key qualifications:

• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred for this entry-level role. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• While previous experience in accounting through co-op, internship, or other roles is an asset, it is not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to work with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in tasks.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interactions with team members, vendors, and clients.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Willingness to learn and solve basic accounting and administrative challenges.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required. Familiarity with accounting software is a plus.

• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with the utmost integrity and professionalism.
