We are seeking an Admin & Business Development Assistant to join our team!

Your primary focus is to lead administrative efforts, provide exceptional customer service, manage the flow of information between internal and external stakeholders, to assist in the coordination of domestic and international logistics, as well as actively engage in the social media marketing strategy.

Your daily contribution to our success includes:

• Promote positive working relationships with all departments.
• Respond to product and services inquiries made by clients.
• Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects with superb accuracy.
• Perform data entry, scan documents, review packing slips, cross reference po’s and receivables, as well as other vital throughput duties.
• Coordinate and manage logistic of material and products.
• Assist in resolving any administrative issues.
• Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, proposals, and emails.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and be aware of travel/holiday arrangements for managers.
• Maintain office supplies for all departments.
• Maintain electronic/hardcopy filing system of records, orders, drawings, etc.
• Provide required support for the organization’s business development team.
• Perform various tasks, including recording minutes during meetings.
• Answer incoming calls and route appropriately.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of all aspects of the business.
• Other duties as required.

What you’ll bring along:

• Post Secondary Business degree/diploma or relevant experience required.
• An acute understanding of the business and operational process.
• 2+ years of hands-on administrative support experience.
• Background in steel (metals) is an asset and a keen aptitude for basic math.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
• Microsoft Excel spreadsheets: generation and editing.
• Comfortable with calculations and basic conversions.
• High level of integrity.
• Knowledge of operating standard office equipment.
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
• Relationship building approach and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem-solving skills.
• Good research skills and attention to detail.
• Solid interpersonal skills (team player).
• Second language an asset.
