The Acquisition Group is looking for a multi-talented Account Manager in Greater Toronto Area, ON to join a team focused on creating a culture of business ownership for our client, TELUS Communications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving profitable growth by targeting, prioritizing, and growing sales opportunities and new partnerships within the Indian market segment on behalf of Client TELUS Communications. You will be responsible for developing business relationships, account sales strategies, and execution of that strategy independently and as a member of a team to some of India’s top Businesses.
Working on behalf of our client TELUS Communications, you will be empowered to make decisions, drive strategy, and leverage the supporting team to hit aggressive business growth.
Job Responsibilities:
Own and be responsible for long partnerships and retention targets in the Indian market segment.
Seek new business relationships through cold calling, relationship building, networking, and strategic partnership presentations and contract negotiations
Implement strategies and create effective account planning to drive results that align with targets
Liaise and collaborate with management to provide guidance for smaller accounts
Establish trusted relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and business leaders within your accounts through prospecting and networking
Prepare professional proposals targeted to the key decision-makers in the customer’s terminology, that clearly communicate our client TELUS Communication’s solutions and values
Initiate post-sales activities to ensure partnerships signed are providing ongoing engagement in the program and the relationship with intended partnership benefits
Coordinate events and forums where we can promote our client TELUS Communication’s products and services
Feed into current and future marketing strategy by identifying new market opportunities
Stay up to date on competitor activities within the market space
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential; must be able to do high-level inquiry and advocate for our client TELUS Communications in a compelling, polished manner to leadership and senior corporate executives within target companies
You are an enthusiastic self-starter with the desire and determination to win both as an individual and team contributor
You have excellent people skills and easily connect with diverse personalities at all levels of organizations
Ability to obtain and apply competitive information to differentiate TELUS Communications’ products and services from the competition
Proven 2-3 years minimum experience in relationship building preferably in telecom or business-to-business space
Must be available to travel once or twice a year to India.
Great-to-have:
University degree.
Experience with previous B2B executive engagement.
