Position: Database Administrator
Location: Saint-Laurent
Are you passionate about managing data with precision and ensuring its security? We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to become an integral part of our client’s dynamic team in the retail industry.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Install and configure database management systems (DBMS) and related tools
– Implement and maintain database security measures to safeguard sensitive data
– Create and manage database backups and implement disaster recovery plans
– Monitor database performance and optimize system resources
– Ensure data accuracy and consistency through regular integrity checks
– Schedule and perform database maintenance tasks
– Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels to databases
– Identify and resolve database-related issues in collaboration with teams
– Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations and procedures
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements
What you’ll need:
– 6+ years of working experience in a similar role
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
– Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
– Strong knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery
– Experience in database performance tuning and optimization techniques
– Familiarity with database monitoring tools and performance metrics analysis
– Solid understanding of SQL, Oracle, and database query optimization
– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
– Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
