Aston Carter Looking for Accounts Payable Coordinator at British Columbia Full Time

Aston Carter’s client is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their Corporate Accounting team on a 3-6 month contract basis with high potential of extension or going permanent.

Highlights:

• Industry: Lumber Wholesale

• Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

• Duration: 3-6 Months (high potential to extend)

• Workplace Type: In office

• Location: Burnaby, BC

Responsibilities:

• Process, balance, review, and file AP journals

• Sort & enter freight invoices in AP

• Sort & enter supplier and other overhead invoices (CND & US) as needed

• Prepare spreadsheets in excel

• Assist auditors in obtaining information as needed

• Prepare deposit slips and support as needed

• Cheque runs – print, sort, distribute and mail cheques

• Login into online banking environment and process electronic payment methods

Qualifications:

• 6 months – 1+ years of experience s in a transactional level accounting role (AP, AR, journal entries, debits / credits, processing invoices) OR an Accounting grad with an ability to learn quickly (Co-op or intern experience would be considered an asset)

• Basic- intermediate Excel experience (assessment required)

• Strong verbal and written communication

Nice to Have:

• Experience in a publicly traded company

• High Volume experience
