Chief Services Officer
The Municipal Finance Authority of British Columbia (MFA) was created in 1970 to contribute to the financial well-being of local governments throughout BC. The MFA pools the borrowing and investment needs of BC communities through a collective structure and provides a range of low-cost and flexible financial services to our clients equally, regardless of the size of the community. The MFA is a AAA-rated entity, independent from the Province of British Columbia, operating under the governance of a Board of Members appointed from the various Regional Districts within the province.

Position Summary:
The Chief Services Officer (CSO) is responsible for the process design, service delivery, and development of MFA’s main product lines, namely lending and pooled investment products. The CSO leads various business lines, leads the overall client service function, and is responsible for various internal support functions (middle and back-office). The CSO leads the compliance functions which include ensuring MFA adheres to its legal and legislative framework. The CSO is a key member of senior management at the MFA, serving as a voting member of various senior management committees, representing the organization in leadership and marketing settings, and maintaining various stakeholder relationships.
The CSO supervises a team of four employees, three of whom are direct reports: the Manager, Client Services, the Credit and Economic Analyst, and the Credit and Compliance Officer.
