COMMERCIAL FLEET MANAGER

You are an innovative leader responsible for supervising, mentoring, and managing the performance of our Class 1 Drivers while promoting safety and positive customer relations. You implement operational strategies in support of best practices and overall productivity; and are accountable for developing and monitoring budgets and operational efficiencies.
Other key responsibilities include responding to customer issues and enquiries; developing and maintaining departmental policies and procedures; identifying, analysing, recommending and promoting business opportunities; and working collaboratively with other departments while encouraging and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
You have a post secondary diploma or certificate in a relevant field, along with a minimum of 3 years supervisory or management experience in a unionized commercial transportation field. You have strong communication skills, experience developing and managing capital and operating budgets, and knowledge of the National Safety Code and the Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations. A Class 1 Drivers License would be an asset.
