Dawson Group Looking for Territory Manager, Fixed Operations at West Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada Full Time

Dawson International Truck Centres is a full service International, Isuzu, Trail King and Peerless dealership, offering service, parts and sales in five locations across the BC Interior. In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson International Truck Centres, working in a full-time position of TerritoryManager, Fixed Operations, reporting to the VP of Operations. The Territory Manager is a key strategic and leadership role with proven business experience and the ability to develop and manage change. Your base location will be Kelowna, BC and may require some travel throughout our great province.

What Success Looks Like

• Empower, engage, coach and mentor to create a culture and processes which achieve the short and long – term business goals and objectives
• Develop strategic plans, by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives
• Accomplish objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections
• Establish and maintain a proactive, ongoing and engaged dialogue at all levels of the organization, and with customers, vendors, etc.
• Maintain effective means of control of the business outcomes and customer service reputation of the location through personal oversight and involvement to coordinate the business within the location and by effectively working with employees
• Fully communicate with executive management of all aspects of the location’s operational and financial affairs, and on all matters of significant relevance to the company.
• Establish and maintain a proactive, ongoing and engaged dialogue with employees to ensure equipment prep, service and parts transactions are accurate and meet customer expectations
• Monitor and ensure internal and external work orders are handled in a timely and accurate manner
• Build long-term trusting relationships with clients/customers

What You Bring

• Minimum of 10 years in a Dealership Leadership role or equivalent experience in Service Sales and/or Parts Sales is an asset
• Degree in Business or formal post-secondary training required
• Understanding of lean management principles or training is an asset
• Proven record of hiring, training, and retaining team members
• Execution of Best in Class business results
• Ability to create and implement change management strategies
• Strong strategic and customer focus with a clear understanding of the wider issues impacting the relevant markets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers, vendors and employees
• Ability to coach, motivate and communicate with others at all levels
• Proactive problem solver and task oriented
