Garritano Bros Ltd were established in 1966 and provide general contracting services, construction management services, and design build services throughout Ontario, with projects completed in Alberta, Quebec, New York and Pennsylvania. Our company specializes in the MUSH Sector of Construction, which is Municipalities, Universities, Schools, and Hospitals. We are members of the Ontario General Contracting Association and have an outstanding Zero Frequency Index for Site Safety. Our company develops our own projects, performs design build projects, and also acts as a general contractor for clients. We provide New Construction, New Buildings, Additions, Renovations and Retrofits. We are pleased to accept applications for site superintendents having worked in the Institutional Sector, meeting the criteria set out below.
Job Description
We seek highly experienced persons to apply for site superintendent position with our company. Candidates must have completed NEW BUILDINGS from start to finish.
If you were a site super on new schools, new hospitals, or other institutional projects in Ontario, then we ask you to apply to join our team.
The project is a new building of 70,000 square feet located near Highway 401 and Keele Street area of North York. The project is easy drive to and is located just off the Hwy 401.
Please prepare your resume and provide the following information:
(1) Identify projects you supervised in Ontario Canada. Provide the project name, project owner, project value, and the general contractor you worked for. If possible, please also name the architect of the project. Positive review will be given for candidates that worked for other general contractors that are members of the OGCA. This is most important information we will consider to call you for an interview.
(2) Identify institutional work experience such as government projects, municipal projects, infrastructure Ontario projects, fire stations, emergency facilities, hospitals, schools, colleges, universities, etc.
(3) Identify what health & safety training you have, particularly for hospital construction, including any Infection Control Procedures training, WHMIS, fall arrest, etc.
(4) Explain your experience to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, layouts, details, and specifications, and trouble shooting details, and clarifying details with workers and trades
(5) Explain your experience on supervising subcontractors, delegating labour, knowledge of construction sequence, understanding of construction procedures and assemblies,
(6) Explain your experience coordinating subtrades
(7) Identify your experience scheduling construction work, usage of software such as Microsoft Project, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe.
(8) Please demonstrate that you have good communication skills both orally and in writing
(9) Identify you understanding in using computer and sending correspondence in writing by email
(10) Salary commensurate with experience. The salary is based on what experience you bring to our company. Salary is paid every Friday, every week, once a week. The salary range is $100,000.00 to $150,800.00 per year.
(11) Please list projects completed in Ontario Canada.
(12) We recommend providing references, such has the phone and name of the project architect that can verify your position as site superintendent.
