Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist with a knack for managing billings in a high-paced construction environment? Reporting to the Controller and working closely with the Project Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billings and fostering smooth communication with contractors and clients

Key Responsibilities

• Billings Management: Handle the billing process for construction projects, including time and material or work-in-progress billings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Invoice Preparation: Generate and prepare invoices for clients, accurately reflecting project costs, materials, labor, and any additional charges.
• Billing Documentation: Maintain detailed billing documentation, including project records, cost reports, and supporting documents to facilitate billing accuracy.
• Collections: Assist in collections efforts by monitoring outstanding invoices and following up with clients to ensure timely payments.
• Client Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with clients regarding billing inquiries, discrepancies, and payment arrangements.
• Liaise with Contractors: Collaborate with contractors and project teams to gather accurate billing information and address any billing-related issues.
• Data Entry: Enter billing data into accounting software and maintain up-to-date records.
• Reporting: Generate and analyze reports related to billing activities, providing insights to support decision-making.
• Documentation Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry-specific billing regulations and compliance requirements.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve billing discrepancies and issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• Previous Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, with exposure to billings in the construction industry.
• Billing Expertise: Experience with time and material or work-in-progress billings is highly advantageous.
• Accounting Software: Proficiency in using accounting software for billing and financial transactions.
• Detail-oriented: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure billing accuracy.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a high-paced environment.
