The Role

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in site management at one of Prince George’s top general contractors? Do you possess the drive and skill set to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency on every project?

PRD Construction, one of Prince George’s premier general contractors, is searching for a Site Supervisor to join our esteemed team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and supervising field construction activities to ensure the successful execution and completion of the project. Reporting to the CEO, this individual will work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, consultants, and other key project members to ensure projects meet quality standards, are completed on time, and stay within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety:

• Prioritize and uphold safety as the foremost consideration.
• Maintain knowledge of PRD safety policies and ensure their compliance.
• Work alongside the Safety Coordinator on hazard assessments.
• Uphold safety and quality targets consistently.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations by all crews.
• Oversee first aid requirements and ensure preparedness for emergencies.
• Foster good housekeeping practices.

Site and Duties:

• Set up, maintain, and secure job sites.
• Ensure projects adhere to layout and grading standards.
• Manage equipment and tool inventory.
• Support foremen and oversee their efficiency.
• Uphold quality control standards consistently.
• Helping out and assisting if required PRD’s on site carpenters.

Project Control:

• Communicate closely with Project Managers regarding challenges and updates.
• Collaborate on estimating project progress and labour costs.
• Maintain and update project schedules.
• Engage with external stakeholders such as inspectors, architects, and engineers.
• Foster a strong relationship with Worksafe BC.
• Oversee and validate Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
• Record and report daily progress using tools like Procore.
• Create, oversee, and finalize project-related documentation like punch lists and as-built drawings.
