Job Summary
Responsible for the full cycle accounting of the subsidiary. Ensuring financial data accuracy, integrity and adherence to strict reporting deadlines is paramount.

Primary Responsibilities
• Responsible for the full accounting cycle of the general ledger (GL) and reconciliation of payroll, accruals, bank reconciliation, pre-payments and tax accounts
• Ensure all accounts are reconciled to the GL and are properly supported with appropriate back up documentation
• Resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Responsible for all Intercompany Transactions. ensuring reconciliations are completed within deadlines.
• Responsible for the monthly IFRS financial reporting and analysis of financial statements including income taxes
• Prepare and monitor expense and capex budgets as required
• Review the accuracy of ITC claims and stay abreast of sales tax, corporate tax development and assess impact to the organization
• Liase with internal and external auditors to satisfy all audit information requirements and queries.
• Ensure clear visibility and up-to-date documentation overall tax matters as well as compliance with laws & regulations
• Responsible for the accounts receivable process and collect funds within approved terms
• Responsible for the accounts payable process including setting up electronic payments
• Responsible for cost analysis and inventory valuation
• In charge of all month end and yearend closing activities
• Ensure gaps in policies and processes are addressed and improved
• Comply with Company Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures and report any incidents, issues and/or concerns to the immediate supervisor
• Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements
Education:
• Degree in Accounting, CA, CPA or CGA designation

Work Experience:
• 7+ years of relevant work experience on full cycle accounting
• Canadian accounting experience is a must
Skills and Competencies:
• Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks and ZOHO
• Ability to organize and analyze large amounts of data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite programs
• Advanced skills in Excel (i.e.: databases, pivots, nesting complex formulas)
• Attention to detail is essential
• High attention to meeting reporting deadlines and being proactive
• Time management – ability to manage and prioritize workload
• Willing to adapt to changing circumstances and environments
• Embrace new ideas and be enterprising, resourceful and adaptable
• Highly fluent in English is a requirement. Read, Write, speak is a must
