Summary: Responsible for the full cycle of accounts payable functions along with various other duties associated with the accounting function. Takes accountability for the timely and accurate processing of transactions and maintaining documentation.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Liaise with vendors and staff to collect invoices
- Ensure proper verification and approval of invoices
- Code and enter invoices to the accounting system
- Complete vendor payments and employee expense reimbursements in a timely manner
- Reconcile credit card accounts and bank accounts
General Accounting
- Perform various tasks including filing, scanning, copying and other tasks as assigned
- Prepare monthly job costing for the trips
- Reconcile credit card accounts and bank accounts
- Perform other ad-hoc duties
Qualifications
- Eligible status to work in Canada
- 3+ years of accounting experience in an A/P role preferred
- Accounting diploma or certificate at post-secondary level
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Working knowledge of Sage 50 or Simply Accounting preferred
- Self motivated with desire to continually learn and grow.
- Dedicated to accuracy with a strong attention to details.
Working conditions:
