Job Description:

We are looking for an Accountant. Your primary responsibilities will include reconciliations, AP invoice and credit card transaction GL coding and entry, General Ledger (GL) account reconciliations, as well as monthly tax reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily customer transactional reconciliations requiring detailed investigations of reconciling items, appropriate funding of customer accounts and timely escalation of issues.
• Code accounts payable invoices and credit card transactions appropriately and enter them into the accounting system, ensuring proper allocation of expenses in adherence to company policies.
• Post Cash receipts in NetSuite.
• Perform account reconciliations for various general ledger accounts, banks, prepaids, accruals, deferred revenue, debt, and intercompany transactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies or issues related to reconciliations, payments, or vendor accounts.
• Assist in monthly tax reporting activities, including preparation, and filing of monthly sales tax returns.
• Support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.
• Make deposits at local bank as and when required.
• Act as a supporting Team resource to back up the monthly billing, collections and customer correspondence team members.
• Participation in special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Required to work in the office three times a week.
• Proven experience in accounting roles in a SaaS or Fintech company preferably within K-12 education industry.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and SAGE, NetSuite Suite Billing experience is required.
• Attentive to detail and analytical.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
