Virtuwell Balance Looking for Copywriter at Canada Full Time

Virtuwell Balance is hiring a contract part-time Copywriter to join our team!

Are you a genuine, positive, and go-getting copywriter with a passion for crafting inspirational, educational, entertaining, and revenue-generating copy for health and wellness businesses? We’re looking for someone to be an innovative, strategic thinker and team player to write copy for our client’s websites, blogs, email newsletters, and social media posts.

ABOUT US:  Virtuwell Balance is a women-owned and operated design and marketing agency empowering health and wellness businesses to grow their revenue and increase their impact through organic marketing and intentional design.

Responsibilities:

• Meeting with our clients on Zoom to discuss strategic direction for their copy/content.
• Learn about each client’s brand and ideal client avatar to create impactful copy that speaks to their target audience.
• Utilizing Google Docs to create a customized CPD (content planning document) for each of our website clients and depending on their package: support them through the copywriting phase by providing feedback on the copy they write (editing and proofreading for spelling, grammar, flow, and best practices)  OR write the copy for them.
• Strategically writing email newsletters and email marketing campaigns while considering target audiences, subject lines, link placement, etc.
• Evaluating, meeting, and increasing email marketing metrics (CTR, subject line open rate, engagement, etc.)
• Strategically writing blog post content while providing tools, resources, and encouragement in various topics (mindset, personal development, mental health, etc.)
• Evaluating, meeting, and increasing blog post metrics (conversions, engagement, opt-ins, etc.)
• Implementing SEO keywords and phrases strategically into blog posts and web page copy in a way that sounds natural and flows with the content (SEO research provided by our SEO Specialist)
• Strategically writing sales page, opt-in page, and website copy that engages and converts.
• Writing captions for social media posts (Instagram & LinkedIn) and repurposing content from blogs into social media captions
• Developing and refining content strategies for email marketing campaigns, blog posts, and website copy
• Helping us make improvements and adjustments to our copywriting process and questionnaires as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a strategic and creative copywriter crafting website copy, blog posts, email newsletters, and social media captions.
• Have previous experience writing for the health and wellness industry.
• High proficiency with Google Docs (using the editing & commenting tools, creating tables, etc.)
• Have at least an intermediate experience level of the following platforms: Asana, Slack, Zoom, Google Drive, Canva
• Strong attention to detail – you can spot a typo a mile away.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
• The ability to write revenue-generating copy with clear CTAs.
• The ability to craft inspirational, educational, and entertaining content for different audiences.
• Understanding of SEO principles.
• Responsiveness and excellent organizational skills.
• The ability and desire to be in this role long-term (at least 1 year).
• The ability to work remotely Monday-Friday in your own time zone.
• Reliable laptop and strong WIFI connection.

You enjoy keeping track of copy/content deadlines and helping clients stay on track as well. You have a process for managing your own calendar and are always on time for virtual meetings.

• You enjoy working remotely and autonomously.  You love the fact that you get to create your own schedule because you’re a natural go-getter. You’re also incredibly self-disciplined to stay on top of your role and communications with the rest of the team and clients. You’re not afraid of a challenge, are always pushing yourself to create your best work, are innovative, and you’re ready to grow.

Important Details

Position: Part-Time (approx.10 hours/week to start with potential for growth, but no minimum amount of hours)

Hourly Rate: Starting at $26 CAD, hourly wage is negotiable depending on experience level (some services are paid per project opposed to hourly)

Position Start Date: January 2024

Location: 100% remote (preferably in Canada) **unable to accept applicants that are USA based freelancers and/or business owners registered in the USA.
