The Waterloo Catholic District School Board with a total student population of 38,000, provides services to students in 50 schools (Kindergarten to Grade 12) across the Waterloo Region.

General Description Of Duties
Monitor and maintain all functions of School Cash Online for accurate and timely payment of incoming invoices.
Maintain School Cash Online items for parent purchases and required school forms working closely with staff to ensure items are timely.
Reconcile monthly bank statements, and prepare and process adjusting entries.
Initiate purchase orders using the Navision Portal, where necessary as well as complete on-line vendor ordering; verify for completeness and ensure there is appropriate supporting documentation (based on prior approval).
Monitor and maintain school budget and compare to Navision Portal for accuracy.
Collection, deposit, and disbursement of funds for trips, school activities, athletic events, and graduation ceremonies.
Update and maintain student database pertaining to cash and fees owed, through School Cash Online and collect where possible.
Assist parents and students with School Cash Online registration where needed and assist staff where required with processes for collection of funds.
Some travel required for banking; and at times for special mail orders, refreshments for meetings, and various supplies that are not delivered.
Assist in other administrative duties delegated by the Administrative Assistant – Lead or assigned by the Administrator.
Provide back up relief as required to other administrative assistant positions within the school.
Minimum Requirements
Two year College Diploma in Office Administration or Business Administration.
1-2 years work experience in finance.
Possess knowledge and understanding of general accounting principles.
Proficiency in Word and Excel.
Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Possess organization and multi-tasking skills in a busy work environment.
Ability to work and communicate effectively in an office environment with frequent interruptions and deadlines.
Knowledge of Board and Ministry policies and procedures (an asset).
Knowledge of the board’s financial procedures and School Generated funds guidelines (an asset).
A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check.
Hourly Rate: $25.53 to $27.97 per hour
Hours of Work: Permanent Full-time, 35 hours per week
Work schedule determined by the Administrator
Weeks/Year: Approximately 42 weeks/year
Location: St Benedict Catholic Secondary School, Cambridge, ON
