NEC Native Education College is a large private Indigenous college in Vancouver and also works with First
Nations and Indigenous organizations to deliver programs in locations throughout British Columbia. We strive to
combine academic excellence with a strong commitment to First Nations community-based education and the
best practices of adult education.
Position Summary:
The Dean of Educational Outreach works with the Management team to manage NEC’s program delivery within
communities across BC. Reporting to the President, the incumbent will be expected to manage, negotiate, supervise,
monitor, and promote programming for off-site delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in a related field (e.g. adult education, administration) from an accredited institution and at
least three years of related experience in a post-secondary environment.
Experience supervising staff and managing program delivery including contracts, deliverables and reporting.
Effective oral and written communication and ability to foster positive relationships both internal and external.
Sound judgment, tact, interpersonal skills; works effectively with students, staff, and ensures good relations
with community contacts and other stakeholders.
Familiarity with Indigenous issues related to post-secondary education would be considered an asset.

This is a full-time position subject to a successful criminal records check. We welcome all applicants, although

Hours: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday
